World of Illumination is looking for a highly skilled and dynamic Seasonal Event Manager to oversee one of our Holiday Drive Through locations. This role involves managing all daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring adherence to park protocols, and leading a team of park ambassadors. The Event Manager will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational standards, and resolving on-site issues to ensure the smooth running of the event. We're looking for someone who excels in fast-paced environments and can bring holiday magic to life for our guests.
This position will begin on November 4, 2024 & will conclude on January 10, 2025 (10 weeks).
Salary contract is for $16,000 for 10 weeks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership & Team Management
- Oversee and lead a team of park staff, including Park Ambassadors, the Assistant Event Manager, and Show Technicians, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment that supports staff retention and high morale.
- Deliver a comprehensive training program to ensure all staff comply with World of Illumination (WOI) policies and uphold operational standards.
- Monitor staffing levels based on vehicle volume, making adjustments as needed to ensure the park is appropriately staffed in line with our Staffing Standards.
- Operations & Logistics
- Manage all aspects of daily operations, ensuring efficient logistics and maintaining a high standard of guest experience throughout the event.
- Ensure operational equipment such as radios, scanners, MiFis, and iPads are properly maintained, updated, and ready for use.
- Gain a deep understanding of the event’s operational plan to guarantee flawless execution and adapt to various roles as necessary - when needed be prepared to step into any park role.
- Ensure efficient vehicle throughput to minimize wait times and prevent congestion in surrounding areas.
- Lead the execution of contingency plans and emergency action protocols, ensuring staff is trained and prepared for various scenarios.
- Respond to, document, and address issues that arise within the park.
- Keep all equipment as well as the Front of House (FOH) is organized, clean, and ready for daily use.
- Ensure inventory procedures for merchandise are followed, with accurate nightly counts.
- Maintain communication with venue management including but not limited to management, park grounds keepers, 3rd party service providers and site vendors.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director of Operations and the Guest Relation Department to enhance the guest experience and address on-site issues effectively.
- Lead the day-to-day ticketing operations on-site including box office, FOH, admission scanners & POS systems.
- Serve as WOI’s public relations representative, conducting local news interviews with professionalism and ensuring a positive public image.
- Administrative Duties
- Track and report daily vehicle and merchandise counts for park records.
- Complete and submit the pre-show (phase sheet) form before park opening and the nightly production report at the close of each show.
- Utilize Deputy to create and manage staff schedules, ensuring all timesheets are accurate and approved before payroll deadlines.
- Attend and actively participate in any necessary team meetings.
